Some new sketches

Last night me and a friend sat down and had a cozy evening of sketching and tea drinking.

I had no idea what to draw, so my friend suggested I drew something from Charlie and the Chocolate factory.
Now, I'm not sure if this is Willy Wonka, but I definetely had him in mind while I drew this fellow:

Then, as I was still in the mode for drawing funny/weird characters, I made this very grumpy old aunt:

Now back to what I really is supposed to do: Working on my ... erm ... særemne! Not sure how to translate it right now - anyway, a project in my norwegian class that has to be finished and ready for presentation next week.

Another drawing in progress

I just can't help it, I have to do several projects at the same time.
So here's another drawing I'm working on (one of the unfinished things i mentioned in an earlier post); as you can see the style is a bit different - I thought I'd try for something new this time:

I decided to try out Corel Painter again, and played around a bit tonight.
This is the superfast version of Lurker.

Tomorrow starts school. Good night, everyone!

Fairy girl thingy in progress

My dry spell seems to be fading a little, and I've been working some more on this drawing lately:

As you can see there's still a lot to be done; I've haven't done much with the ground since the last version, and her right thumb is making me absolutely MAD >_<
Hopefully I'll muster enough self-disipline to finish it before long.

Until then, take care! :)

My mind suddenly stopped working...

Right now I'm in the middle of a horrible dryspell.
It's now that I don't want to draw, or that I don't have any inspiration, I have lots of ideas and I dutifully spend time with my sketchbook almost every day.
But my consentration nowadays is so messed up that everything I touch turns to crap.

But, for your entertainment, here are some more thingies from my sketchbook! :P

I got a sudden urge to use a lot of colours!

Here is snake woman...

I'm not sure what this is supposed to be....

Until next time: Take care! :)

A hurried doodle of pain

I felt compelled to describe my sufferings of the last day of my London trip, after almost ruining my feet on quite a few kilometers of London pavement :P

Pictures of London

Last week I spent some days in London.
It was a very exiting trip indeed!

I also bought some new art supplies; two sketchbooks, a wooden box with pencils and coals (special offer - down from £40 to £21!) and 4 bottles of inks! (Winsor&Newton FTW!) (Although two of the colours I already have... Alas, my messy head! *facepalm*)

I plan to make some more drawings in the days to come, but things may be a bit slow as I'm dead tired for the moment :P

Take care!

A couple of night time sketches

Couldn't sleep, so I spent the night watching cheesy tv series and scribbling in my sketchbook.
Here's the result (or at least, the drawing-related results; not going to post a picture of my bleary, red eyes or elaborate further on my belly ache after too much coke and potato chips :P )  :

I suppose it's bedtime now. Nighty night, everyone! (Or, for some, good morning!)

I challenge thee!

Here's a challenge for you all:
Describe your life!

Save and open in paint, draw/copy-and-paste/write whatever you want, and make a picture of your life in a nutshell.
The publish it in you own blog.
Rules: Only use paint, and make it simple!

Here is my version:

Good luck! :)

Thingies from my sketchbook

Here are some drawings from my beloved scribbling-in-my-sketchbook-while-sitting-in-front-of-the-telly-wrapped-in-a-blanket-and-drinking-tea-sessions. Without glasses, mind you, so they are quite scribbly in deed.

This is inspired by a weird dream I had some days ago, wich by the way was extremely exiting. I wish I had the gift of being able to write good fiction!

I have no idea what this is supposed to be...

 Creepy ink-man.

 Moar inks...

One of my WoW-characters: Skurv! :D
(This one's actually a bit old, but I'm really fond of it :P)

The anemone-girl. (Markers)

I actually had planned to color this one, but it has not happened yet...

The Weird Drawing is finished

Ok, this is perhaps the final version of the drawing.
As you can see I have made quite a few changes.

I smoothed out the sky and made both the rocks and the figue a lot darker and more shadowy.
I've also added some texture.

A Weird Drawing

This is a drawing that I’m currently working on, not really sure what to do with it…'

I used inks, and now I’m continuing in photoshop.
My inkwork is quite messy, and it annoyes me to no end that I’m not more patient and thorough.

The Jester

For some reason a jester turned up in by head a few years ago, and I got a bit obsessed by him.
So I made several drawings, here are some of them:

Pencil Jester, 2008

Ink Jester, 2008

Ink Jester, 2009

This one I hastily made while on holiday in 2008.
It was kinda messy and I really wasn’t satisfied, but I liked the idea.
So, in 2010, I continued working on it in photoshop.
Here’s the result:

I’m still not done with the joker, so I keep making joker-drawings, but I haven’t finished any of the others.

Some old drawings

Here are some of the drawings I’ve made from 2007 to 2010:

Ink drawing, 2008

Ink drawing, 2008

Ink and photoshop, 2008

Ink, 2010

Hello on yourselves!

So, this is my new blog, where I will indulge in shameless self-promotion.
Or, at least, publish some of my drawings and write a little about the stuff I do and things like that.
I’m pretty much self-taught and not particularly good, but I’m continuously trying to improve.
So feel free to give me some feedback!  :)

Mainly I’m working with inks and markers and a bit of photoshop.
Sometimes I make pencil drawings, but for some reason I find that extremely boring.
Mostly, I draw stuff I make up in my own head.
In other words, I’m not very fond of (or good at) making realistic art, but sometimes I practice a bit anyway.
Even if I do prefer to make stuff up, it’s sometimes an advantage to be able to make things look the way they should!

Hope you like my blog, do leave comments!  :)
